The Cape Region consists of multiple climatical zones. Enjoy the unique and splendid landscape and vegetation.
Botanical Garden
Kirstenbosch Garden encompasses 530ha and is located on the Southern Side of Table Mountain. It is known as one of the world’s best botanical garden.
Birdwatching
More than 300 different bird species are home in the Cape Region. A large amount thereof live in the nature reserve next to Cape Oasis. Take a stroll and watch flamingos, pelicans, etc.
Whalewatching
The best time to do whale watching is September / October. If you are lucky, you can see them directly at Table View Beach. However, the best location is Hermanus (approx. 2h from Cape Town).
What-ever-is-in-the-water-watching
Watch out for dolphins, seals along the beautiful beaches close to Cape Oasis. Watch out for sharks which are hard to detect. Sharks are rather to be found in False Bay. More details about the statistical probability to be attacked by sharks can be found here.
In addition, you can see pinguins close to Simons Town. A must to see!
